Zweiteiliges, teilemailliertes goldenes Kleinod 1589, von Tobias Wolf. Emaillearbeit, vermutlich vom Dresdner Goldschmied Gabriel Gipfel. V G G SOPHIA GEBO MAR Z BRAN CHVRF. Büste der Kurfürstin nach links mit Haube, geblümtem Kleid, sehr grosser Krause und geschmückt mit Halsketten. Das Kleid der Kurfürstin ist schwarz emailliert mit goldenem Blumenmuster. Haube, Krause und Halskette sind weiss. Rv. HILF DV HEILIGE DREI - FALTIGKEIT ANNO 1589. In einem reich verzierten Schild das kur- und herzoglich-sächsische Wappen, in dem Mittelschild das markgräflich-brandenburgische und gräflich-hohenzollernsche Wappen. Das Rollwerk ist blau-grün-rot-weiss emailliert. Das schwarz-weiss geteilte Kurwappen ist mit gold-knaufigen, roten Schwertern belegt. Das herzogliche Wappen ist grün-gelb-schwarz emailliert. Das Mittelschild enthält den roten brandenburgischen Adler auf weissem Feld und das schwarz-weiss geteilte Wappen von Hohenzollern. Die Medaille selbst ist zum Zweck der Emaillierung von der Meisterhand Tobias Wolff's noch ziseliert worden. 8,31 g. 6,62 g. Brockmann 70. Börner 121 Anm. Domanig vgl. 205. Tentzel Tf. 22, 3. Two piece, partly enamelled, golden largesse medal (Kleinod) 1589, by Tobias Wolf. Enamel work probably by the Dresden goldsmith Gabriel Gipfel. V G G SOPHIA GEBO MAR Z BRAN CHVRF. Bust of the princess to left with hair net, flowered dress, very large collar and draped with necklaces. The princess' dress is enamelled in black with a golden floral pattern. Hair net, collar and necklace are white. Rev. HILF DV HEILIGE DREI - FALTIGKEIT ANNO 1589. In a richly decorated shield, the electoral and ducal Saxonian arms. In the middle the arms of the Margrave of Brandenburg and the County of Hohenzollern. The fretwork frame is enamelled in blue-green-red-white. The black and white enamelled electoral arms are overlaid by the red electoral swords with golden pommels. The ducal shield is enamelled green-yellow-black. The middle shield contains the red Brandenburg eagle on white field and the black and white divided arms of Hohenzollern.
